Gabereau, Kreviazuk to help launch Emergency Centre Campaign
Surrey, B.C. – Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation is bringing in a couple of well-known Canadians to help launch a campaign to build a new Emergency Centre for Surrey.
Vicki Gabereau and Chantal Kreviazuk are the special guests at the Winners Circle Gala, a black tie event sponsored by Fraser Downs Racetrack and Casino. This special evening takes place April 19th at Fraser Downs Racetrack in Surrey.
Gabereau, one of Canada’s most recognizable radio and television personalities, is the master of ceremonies for the Winners Circle Gala, which will also feature a performance by Kreviazuk, a singer-songwriter whose fourth studio album, Ghost Stories, was released last year.
Attendees will also be treated to a four course dinner, a live auction, and dedicated horse races.
Tickets to this exclusive evening are $250 each, and proceeds benefit Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation’s $15-million Emergency Centre Campaign. A portion of each ticket is tax deductible. You can make your reservation by contacting Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation at 604-588-3371.
The B.C. Government has committed to funding the essentials of a replacement to Surrey Memorial Hospital’s current E.R., the busiest in B.C. The Foundation’s $15-million campaign will ensure the new Emergency Centre is state-of-the-art.
Construction of the new Emergency Centre at Surrey Memorial Hospital is scheduled to begin in 2008. In addition to serving the urgent care needs of its population, Surrey Memorial Hospital is a Fraser Health regional referral centre for programs like cancer care, pediatrics, and thoracic surgery.
