June 26, 2009 Children’s playhouse on display at Surrey Canada Day celebration Surrey, B.C. – Western Canada’s largest Canada Day celebration will provide your first chance to see and purchase raffle tickets for Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation’s latest fundraiser – a spectacular 12-foot high children’s playhouse. The Tiny Tulips Play Zone mini home, designed and built by Kenorah Construction & Design Ltd., will be on display July 1st during Surrey Canada Day festivities at the Cloverdale Millennium Amphitheatre. “You really have to see it to get a sense of the detail Kenorah put into this playhouse,” says Foundation chair Jacy Wingson. “Someone very lucky will end up winning this fantastic prize.” Tickets – at only $2 each - will be available beginning July 1st. The playhouse has a value of $40,000 and will be moved in October to Guildford Town Centre, where the draw will take place October 24th. The playhouse contains a loft with beds, custom upholstery, a mini-kitchen with custom cabinetry and quartz countertops, a porch, insulated fully functioning windows and doors, cedar siding and shakes, and many more exciting features. Kenorah Construction & Design Ltd., BC’s most awarded residential renovator, donated the design, construction labour, several building materials, and coordinated donations from 15 other suppliers to create the mini home. Established in 1992, Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation has raised more than $50 million to purchase medical equipment, fund innovative programs, and support training and research. -30- For more information or interviews, contact: Jason Howe BC Gaming Event Licence # 16677 |
